Healthy SKOOP Protein Review and FUDGE BITES Recipe!

Hey lovely’s!

I’m back! And I’ve got a review and a discount to kick off Fall! Who’s ready to hear about some protein powder?

A couple of weeks ago, Madelyn with Healthy Skoop, reached out to me and asked if I would like to review! I had already won some Healthy Skoop protein from a giveaway and it was delicious, so of course, I needed to review it and share with you guys!

SKOOP

What is SKOOP?

B-Strong, is a plant-based protein powder that promotes a three-stage process for manufacturing strong, lean muscles and all-over health.

It’s designed to:

  • help your body absorb nutrients
  • build muscle
  • recover quickly.

Unlike most protein powders, B-Strong also contains prebiotics that promote a happy belly, as well as amino acids such as essentials, non-essentials and BCAAs, and even Mediterranean fruits.

  • gluten
  • dairy
  • soy free
  • Contains pea and brown rice protein.

The fatty acids aid hormone function, healthy skin and cellular repair, but they also help the gut absorb macro and phytonutrients throughout your day.

The BCAAs (branch chain amino acids) keep your muscles strong and happy throughout your daily activity or workout, so that you recover quickly and efficiently.

B-Strong contains 160 calories, 16 g of protein, 18 g of carbohydrates, and 6 g of fiber. The fiber and protein will keep you satiated for hours and the carbohydrates will fuel your body with the energy it needs to power on through the day!

Tastes great mixed with almond milk, coconut milk, water, or in a smoothie.

They also have an affiliate/distributor program, which also allows them to donate 10% of everything purchased to a national non-profit that provides kids with fresh fruits and veggies at school.

They snuck in a few samples of B-Lovely and A-Game too, which tasted great in a smoothie. Oh my gosh, don’t get me started on that delicious berry taste in B-Lovely. Mix in some cocoa powder and banana…WOW!

I did the 5-day challenge and had A-Game for breakfast Monday-Friday. Great idea for those who don’t usually get a lot of nutrients first thing in the morning. It’s so important!

Enjoyed having B-Strong smoothies for my post run/workouts in my blender bottle!

And for fun, I JUST HAD to create a recipe using SKOOP. I actually made this on accident when I had won a bag of SKOOP a while back, so I had to share this with you!

And FOR YOU….A DISCOUNT! Use SHAPE10 for 10% off your order!

I hope you enjoyed this review and now you know more about SKOOP protein! I enjoy it way more because it’s a brown rice protein, which works better for me than a whey protein…so, this girl will definitely keep buying!

Questions:

  • Do you like whey protein or a plant based protein?
  • Have you tried SKOOP?

Taking a Break

Hey friends,

I haven’t been blogging lately, I know. I needed to take some time to start thinking about new topics, focus on my nutrition school studies, and enjoy life away from constantly taking pictures. I think I just really burnt out on the social media and blogging world. But I’ll be back, hopefully with some nice topics, reviews, or giveaways. So don’t think I’ve given up! Just needed a little time away :)

Love you all!

Question of the day:

– Do you ever have to take a long break from the blogging and social media world?
– How’s August going for ya?

Thinking Out Loud Thursday #2

Hey everyone! Thursday already? One step closer to Fall. Yes!

Jumping right into Thinking Out Loud Thursday with Amanda at Running With Spoons and it’s gonna get random!

Thinking-Out-Loud

1. I’m officially halfway through nutrition school! I’ll be certified this coming week and I’m pretty excited to start health coaching. If you want to learn more about what I do or where to sign up, you can go to my website, The Body Method and learn more there!

2. When I graduate in February 2015, I’m going to be jumping right into studying to be a Personal Trainer, which is realllllly exciting to me!

3. My dream is to open a health and fitness studio in either Denver, Charlotte, or somewhere close to Manhattan Beach. We’ll see what happens!

4. Um, my first published article is in Fit & Well Magazine! I talked about them a while back when I posted on some of my favorite brands. A couple months ago when I was at the beach, Alison who is the editor or Fit & Well, reached out to me about writing an article for the magazine. I was like…

I don't usually post cute stuff just cause it's cute, but come on-look at this face and those legs!!

5. I want my hair to look like this…

Long Layered hair with caramel highlights

6. Why are Clif Bars so freaking good? They make the perfect dessert when warmed up for like 5-8 seconds in the microwave. A trick I learned from Karena from Tone It Up, back in the day.

7. Speaking of Tone It Up, I want to share a quick fact. These girls are my inspiration, motivation, and sometimes I feel like it owe it to them. I would probably not be where I am today without Karena & Katrina. They got me hooked on healthy living, realizing that fitness can be fun, which helped me discover my love for helping people with their health and fitness! Thanks, girls!

8. I started The Alabaster Running Club last week and our first group run is tonight. OMG. I’m so excited and pumped to have the pleasure in hosting this club full of awesome runners. If you are in the Birmingham area, why don’t you come down!

9. Arctic Zero is amazing! Well, I’ve probably mentioned that before. I tried the coffee flavor for the first time and it was DELICIOUS!

  • Have you tried Arctic Zero? If so, what’s your favorite flavor?
  • Who is your inspiration?
