I got a recipe for ya, but we’ll get to that in a minute!
Running Workouts
This week I haven’t ran much but I have got two good runs in.
- Tuesday: Interval training—> Warmup, 3X800m, 4X200m, 1 mile cool down =4 miles
- Thursday: Regular 5 mile run with a little hill work and 4X70yd strides which helps with your speed/endurance
Fun New Workouts
I’ve tried a couple of fun, new workouts this week and they are definitely good ones!
Monday, I tried the Cardio Tai Box 10 minute Fit Sugar workout
This morning I tried Amanda Russell’s 100 Burpee Workout and it’s awesome! I was sweating tons when I finished. She’s a pretty hardcore lady with lots of motivation! I love her
I enjoy new workouts because they keep fitness fun and exciting. Doing the same old thing all the time? Try a new workout! Or a new activity. Go for a hike or something…which leads me to Spring Break…IT’S SPRING BREAK!
I’m going to be hiking sometime soon and will have an awesome post on the whole hike. Audrey LOVES hiking! I mean, reallllllly loves! ❤

Okay, the recipe I promised. This isn’t a magical, sweet brownie or anything…its more like a little muffin with no carbs that will satisfy your cravings. I really wanted to come home from my trip to Costco and eat something sweet. But I’m trying so hard to eat clean and be consistent.
So, here ya go.
No Carb Protein Muffins
- 4 egg whites
- 2 big tbsp. ground flax seed
- 1 tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tbsp. stevia
- 1/2 scoop protein powder
- 1 tsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
After making them, I realized I probably should have put more cocoa powder and stevia…so you may if you would like.
Mix all the ingredients together. Spray 6 muffin tins, pour the batter. Put in oven for 10-12 minutes.
I’m gonna have some fun posts coming up soon. Keep your eyes open. And a new superset arm workout for you fit people out there that makes your arms want to FALL OFF! In a good way!
XOXO Audrey
Questions:
- Have you tried any new workouts lately?
- How do you satisfy your cravings?
Those look good! Kind of like VitaTops 🙂 I haven’t worked my arms in WEEKS… I really need to do that, yikes. I try and drink water when I have a craving for a not so healthy food. That usually helps!
I’ll have the workout up tomorrow!
Strength training should be a part of your routine each week. I read an article about a 102 year old man who started strength training when he was 98. It has improved his fitness in a good way. http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/fit-at-102/2013/03/12/786a7e96-8346-11e2-b99e-6baf4ebe42df_story.html?hpid=z1
That is awesome!!!
