Yes, I hiked the Walls of Jericho on Tuesday.
And it was very, very interesting. I love me some hiking so I totally jumped on board to go get out in nature during Spring Break.
It was a whole day trip so I’m going to recap my whole day with lots of pictures! Hey, isn’t that what bloggers do anyway?
Alarm went off at 6:30.
I (well first, I put in my contacts) made myself a green smoothie and did not take a picture because it wasn’t pretty for some reason…
So here’s a recycled photo
I actually had coffee that morning too, and if you’ve been following me on Instagram, you would see that I’ve really cut back on my coffee intake. Coffee is now a treat. If you want to know why I have decided to do so, click here. I’ve been drinking way more green tea instead.
I drink coffee every other day now, but I decided to have a few cups on my trips.
We left around 9 AM and headed to North Alabama…very North.
We got “hangry” around 11:30 and stopped at Walgreens to grab a Clif Bar. Yum! I rarely eat these, but it definitely helped me during the hike.
It took us a while till we got to the trail head, but we arrived! Yay!
We got ready and started on our hike! And I made sure to turn on my GPS watch but, I’m horrible at stopping it and forgetting to turn it on for over half a mile. Whoops
I’m obviously too cool to pose right for pictures.
It was a beautiful day for hiking!
The backpack holder, AKA my Dad.
I saw a lot of couple’s initials on trees along the way. There was one tree I saw that had so many markings that you couldn’t even tell what they said anymore!
There was a weird and old cemetery by the camping sight…
And I got to be in TWO places at once today! The TN border was right by this tree.
You bet I put one foot in TN and one foot in AL!
Back at the camping sight to eat food!!!! We didn’t make a fire but other people did before us.
- Almond butter and Jelly sandwiches
- Boiled eggs
I ate my AB&J sandwich in a Flat Out Wrap
After we ate, we started hiking back!
Back at the car, so happy
Oh my goodness, look at that hair. Hiking hair, for sure.
Very, very tired though.
We want to go to sleep now!
We stopped at an awesome coffee shop in Boaz, AL. I love this place!
I tried the Black Satin Dark Roast and it was so tasty!
Then we headed home!
Great trip, so much fun
