Hey, I’m 18.

So…I have been a little MIA, unless you follow me on Twitter and Instagram. I think I’ve gotten on my laptop maybe three times this past week… :/

School work was pushing it. (I still took pictures though)

What’s been up?

  • Monday I was on a “fieldtrip” to go take my practice AP Lit. test which was 3 HOURS LONG of writing. Ew. Sad smile
  • We dissected cats on Tuesday…And it did not smell pretty.
  • I was given a 15 PAGE study guide for our humongous Anatomy Lab test next Tuesday AHHHH
  • I finished up a big math test Wednesday, which I studied hard for and made a 96…not too shabby.
  • I’ve been planning what I’m gonna do for my birthday
  • And I’ve been running everyday this week which always takes up about 2 hours of my life.

Foods from the week:

Those waffles were really good.

Head on over to Lori and Michelle’s blog for the recipe

**Birthday Celebration April 5

Got my presents! Macarons and new Lunar Glide 4’s which you’ll see those in a minute!!!

So prom was April 6, on my birthday…so we decided to do something Friday night, April 5. We had plans to go to Brio’s Tuscan Grille but the reservations were full from another school’s prom. I was really sad because I’ve been wanting to go there FOR FOREVERRR. So maybe we should have went out to eat April 4…..

So it took us about 30 more minutes to finally decide somewhere else to eat. We knew we had to go somewhere where there wasn’t prom people.

We chose Outback Steakhouse because I’ve never been. It was actually a really good choice. They had Mahi Mahi and OMG I had to get it.

Started off with some bread…wasn’t really that great though.DSC00678

Then we had an appetizer…the blooming onion. Australian thing apparently.

It was pretty good…but the whole time, I was like “will probably never ever eat this again”.

All I could think of was clogged arteries.

I chose fish and vegetables and rice for my entrée. It was called Heart Of Gold MahiDSC00683

Then we hopped on over to O’Henry’s Coffee…the best coffee place in the world. It’s top notch. Way better than Starbucks any day!

I got the Chai Latte and it was superb Smile

**Actual Birthday April 6

I am crazy and woke up at 5 AM to go run 11 miles with my dad with BTC. Who does that? Me.

Last year I skipped school and woke up early to run 6 miles of trails. Me and running are kinda bff’s.

Got a little fuel in me before we headed out

11.4 miles in 1:43 with a 9:04 average pace. My dad could have finished that with an 8 min pace or faster for sure, but he ran with me! Such a nice guy. I love you, Dad! ❤

Those are my new LUNAR GLIDE 4’s

And we stopped to get a cup of O’Henry’s coffee. They were brewing up some cool flavors. I got something called the Private Estate…it was regular. Just letting you coffee people know.

Post Run Smoothie! With beets!

Then I got ready for something I’ve never been to before…a car race. OMG.

My brother got us free tickets to the Barber Motorsports event and it was a perfect day for it! It was 70ish degrees, hardly any clouds in the sky, and a perfect breeze!

I’ve never been to one of these and I’ve always wanted to go to one. Here’s some pictures:

We walked around a lot and watched these cars go in laps like a million times…which got boring in about 30 minutes…but that’s because I just don’t know much about it all…If I knew more, I’d probably have more fun. But it was awesome…

There were a few wrecks and spins which is interesting to see. I don’t think anyone got hurt though. Which was great!

CAR #10 won…but I really could care less. Lol.

Well, I’m 18 now! Yay!

I’ll be back tomorrow with a Clean Turkey Chili recipe and then Tuesday will be a quick leg workout that I’ve been wanting to share!

XOXO Audrey

Happy birthday girl! So so glad that you had a great day! Yesterday when I was out on my run I kept thinking how you ran 11 and that made me jealous. Haha! My neighborhood is very uninteresting to run in. 8 miles is my limit there! You’re so pretty by the way:) are those pb&j pancakes I see? Haha! My dad loves drag racing and NASCAR races so they’re always on TV at my house. There’s a track right by my house so during the season I can hear them racing! Pretty cool!

    • Audrey says:

Thanks, girl! Oh man, when I got to mile 6 and 7 of my run, i really wanted to quit. It got hot and my legs were tired. I haven’t ran 11 miles in almost two months. But I was far away from the car so I had no choice. I started feeling better at mile 8 though. Thank goodness.
Thats cool about the track being so close you can hear them racing!

Happy Birthday pretty lady!! Thats so exciting 18!! =] We are now the same age! I love your know shoes! And 11 miles that awesome! I still have yet to do that. My birthday is June 21st aka the fist day of summer. I am for sure a summer girl at heart. I have never been to any car races! But I want to go to one and experience it!

    • Audrey says:

Yay! I’ve learned that 11 miles really isn’t that hard and it just goes by so quick! I always wanted a birthday during the summer…its seems more fun. The car race was definitely an experience…there were some weird people there though.

Oh my, you’ve been so busy! Happy birthday! 🙂 Outback is delicious, but I agree on the bread. It’s yummy, but only after slathered with a BUNCH of butter. They’re entrees are really good, though!

    • Audrey says:

Very busy! Haha and thankyou! I do agree, Outback is pretty good. And def agree on the bread thing…it just wasn’t soft and warm like most breads so i was disappointed. It was kinda dry

Well, it’s not every day that you get to go run 11 miles with your Daughter on her 18th Birthday! I had fun and didn’t need to run too hard anyway. O’Henry’s coffee 2 days in a row is not too bad. Love you too with all my heart.

An outstanding share! I have just forwarded this onto
a co-worker who was conducting a little homework on this.
And he in fact bought me breakfast because I stumbled upon it for him.
.. lol. So let me reword this…. Thank YOU for the meal!

! But yeah, thanx for spending the time to discuss this
matter here on your web site.
