GOALS 2014: Running, Reading, Loving, Painting…

I love making goals, but I hate it when I start making way too many. I need to narrow it down to just a few. So here they are!

1. Finish reading these two books

2. Love more. Judge Less.

Simple written, but hard to do. It can be done though! God said we could!

Luke 6:35

King James Version (KJV)

35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

3. Blog at least 3 times a week.

I think blogging 5 times a week just messes me up. I start to lose motivation to write because I have nothing to write about. I get bored too fast. So maybe 3 times a week will be better!

4. Run at least 4-6 days a week.

When July came, I got frustrated with the heat and there was a death in the family so instead of being tough, I skipped out and stopped running like I was. Dumb move, dumb move. Thankfully, I pushed myself to pick it back up and I’m in love with running once again! Never fails.

5. Run trails

I love trails! I love pounding on the dirt, running through the woods, jumping over trees, skipping over rocks, and hopping streams. I love it! And I just need to do it!

6. Always choose clean food over junk food.

7. Read the Bible every day!

There’s those days I just forget and I really wish I didn’t. I need His Word to feed my Spirit!

Cool building, huh?

8. Paint

I love painting on canvas! Anyone else? It’s such a good stress relief hobby that doesn’t require mileage. Haha

DIY canvas painting.

That’s about it!

I hope all who read this, have the happiest New Years and the best year yet!

Those are some awesome goals, girly! I’m trying to do clean eating in 2014. It’s a challenge that I did before and eventually had to take a step away from because it was basically becoming an idol in my life and hurting my spiritual walk. Speaking of which, I really applaud you on that aspect too. Sometimes having a quiet time is incredibly difficult for whatever reason but so necessary! For me, it’s like running…I absolutely don’t want to do it and then I just make myself go and once I’m running I wonder why in the world I ever fought against it in the first place!! And as for your resolution 2 (sorry this comment in soooo long) that sounds wonderful! But it reminds me of 1 Corinthians 2:15. While we have no right to actually pass judgments, we are given the ability to discern what is right or not and lovingly show the way. This is something you’re probably aware but it’s something I learned this past year and have to remind myself of occasionally!

Fun goals! I really want to read “I’m No Angel” (I got it for Christmas for myself and still haven’t opened it!), do more crafting, do more yoga/pilates (fine tuning for the muscles!) and read my French New Testament. It’s a challenge because, duh, it’s in French but I think it’ll be fun!
