WIAW 7/2 Exceptional Eats and a Workout

Happy What I Ate Wednesday, foodies and readers! How are all of you doing?

Yesterday, was like a very exceptional day of eats. Like really exceptional! Do you ever have those days where you just love everything you ate by the end of the day?

Thank you, Jenn, for hosting the linkup! And I wanted to give a shout out to her awesome Coconut-Lime Avocado Muffins she posted yesterday! Those muffins look really good and I love the twist on the ingredients. Never would have thought to put those together!

Peas and Crayons

I started my day, waking up early to get some food and coffee in me before my run. I decided on something easily digestible, Kashi Autumn Wheat Biscuits with a little granola, handful of plump blueberries and Silk Unsweetened Almond Milk! Kashi’s wheat biscuits is one of my favorite cereals they have. Actually, I love all their cereals!

As soon as I finished my blog post yesterday, it was time to run! I got ready to head on over to a new but old place to run. Its local but I rarely ever head over to it…mostly because it’s not that big. But there is a soft gravel trail and that’s what I really felt like doing today.

One of the wonderful things about woodsy trail runs, is the shade! YES!



I ended up walking a mile, after running 3 miles, to this little area that was so peaceful. I posted a video of it on Instagram yesterday!

I also did a workout a little while later that was really good and I MUST SHARE!

Just so you know, I have WAY too much fun designing workouts and making them look pretty on Picmonkey!


For post workout LUNCH, I was craving some weird combos! I had a hankering for my leftover sautéed broccoli, my dad’s homemade sauerkraut, pickles, a plum, and organic bread with a little organic PB and honey! Oh my, so good! Or maybe it’s just me…



After lunch, I received my book that I’ll be reviewing on the blog once I’m done with it, thanks to Blogging For Books. By the way, if you really like to read (anything from fiction, cook books, business, mysteries, etc.) and you have a blog, check out Blogging for Books. I think this is an amazing opportunity for anyone looking to widen their range of posts on their blog! Plus, you get a free book!

I picked this book since I’ll be starting my own health coaching and personal training business/studio one day soon in the future as a young woman. I’m very blessed with my career choice and thankful for all the support I receive and with that support, it really just makes me want to be 10X better! My passions are health and fitness and my goal is to help others become healthy and reach their goals. But at the same time, I’m not in business school, so making sure I know how to run my future business without business schooling, is really important to me. Taking everything in like a sponge right now!

Also, homegrown tomatoes for a little more color!


This is southern. And I am not ashamed of eating mashed potatoes. I know they aren’t the healthiest thing on the menu, but goodness, when you haven’t had them in a while, they sure are good!

HIIT Cardio Workout

Happy Weekend!

I got a workout I wanted to share today and its pretty awesome…so, you might want to try it out.

This is a fat-burning cardio workout that will definitely make you sweat. Point of the workout, is to take the time seriously. Start out with 30 seconds, take a 10 sec break, and start the next exercise ASAP. You need that heart rate to stay high! So, who’s with me? You going to try this workout today?
