Cocozia Review

As a health coach, I get asked a lot what brand of coconut water I like best, or either what I like to hydrate with other than plain water…My answer, Cocozia Coconut Water.

I’m a big fan of coconut water! I think its vital for people who workout hard and run!

I’m also a health nut, so the fact that it is 100% coconut water AND organic, makes it even better.

I didn’t get to run any long runs with coconut water this time, due to a slight setback in running from an injury, but I definitely took it with me on short runs, HIIT workouts, and cycling.

One reason I like coconut water, is because if I workout really hard, and gulp down some water, I’m not getting any electrolytes put back in me…so with CW, I’m able to replenish those and not have to worry about my stomach hurting or feeling as fatigued. I’m also really picky about my coconut water. Most coconut waters I’ll get, taste a little off or a bit funky. But with Cocozia, I feel like it tastes perfect. So thanks, Cocozia, for making us excellent coconut water!

Healthy SKOOP Protein Review and FUDGE BITES Recipe!

I’m back! And I’ve got a review and a discount to kick off Fall! Who’s ready to hear about some protein powder?

A couple of weeks ago, Madelyn with Healthy Skoop, reached out to me and asked if I would like to review! I had already won some Healthy Skoop protein from a giveaway and it was delicious, so of course, I needed to review it and share with you guys!

What is SKOOP?

B-Strong, is a plant-based protein powder that promotes a three-stage process for manufacturing strong, lean muscles and all-over health.

It’s designed to:

  • help your body absorb nutrients
  • build muscle
  • recover quickly.

Unlike most protein powders, B-Strong also contains prebiotics that promote a happy belly, as well as amino acids such as essentials, non-essentials and BCAAs, and even Mediterranean fruits.

  • dairy

  • Contains pea and brown rice protein.

The fatty acids aid hormone function, healthy skin and cellular repair, but they also help the gut absorb macro and phytonutrients throughout your day.

They snuck in a few samples of B-Lovely and A-Game too, which tasted great in a smoothie. Oh my gosh, don’t get me started on that delicious berry taste in B-Lovely. Mix in some cocoa powder and banana…WOW!

I did the 5-day challenge and had A-Game for breakfast Monday-Friday. Great idea for those who don’t usually get a lot of nutrients first thing in the morning. It’s so important!

And for fun, I JUST HAD to create a recipe using SKOOP. I actually made this on accident when I had won a bag of SKOOP a while back, so I had to share this with you!

Vanilla Peanut Butter Protein Fudge Bites

Ingredients

  • 4 TBSP Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 cup SKOOP B-Strong Protein Powder (Viva-Nilla)
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Flour
  • 2 packets of Stevia
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • Splash of Vanilla Extract
  • Dash of Sea Salt
  • Optional: Pumpkin Spice, Cinnamon, Almond Butter, Sunflower Seed Butter, Chia Seeds

Directions

  • Put everything in that order and then mix together in a large bowl.
  • I got 8 balls out of the mixture (I ate one before I took the pictures, whoops!)
  • ENJOY!

Lara Bar Review

Hey guys! Wow, it’s Wednesday again?

How does this happen?

But, you know what, it’s totally fine because I love What I Ate Wednesday! And I’m taking WIAW in a little different direction today by reviewing something I received in the mail last week! LÄRABARS!

Alright, I don’t know about you, but LÄRABARS have been some of my favorite when I discovered them, which was about 3 years ago, and having the chance to review them, makes me extremely happy.

Roasted Nut Roll: Sweet, salty, fruity.

My thoughts: This is one of those bars that I crave when I’m hiking and it’s definitely one of those bars I could eat A LOT. Because…it was delicious! I wanted more ❤

Apple Pie: Tasted just like apple pie

My thoughts: The taste was wonderful! Not too sweet but still tasted like apple pie. This bar could easily be rolled out and baked on top of a gluten free (homemade) miniature crust and VOILA, you’d have your own healthy apple pie. Actually, I think I’m gonna get on that.

Lemon Pound Cake: Fruit and nut bar

My thoughts: Um, lemon is one of my favorite flavors and they definitely got spot on with this bar. Lemon Pound Cake in a package, a few ingredients, and healthyyyyy? Yes, please, don’t mind if I do!

Nut Butter Chocolate: Perfect amount of nut butter and chocolate

My thoughts: I’m saving the best for last! This was my favorite bar! Oh my gosh, I can’t even… It was just way too good! I ate it while I sipped on my coffee, and I gotta say, I needed another one! They probably don’t know this, but I’m like the biggest fan of nut butter and of chocolate, so when they put these two together and created a bar, I was mind blown with the first bite! Anyone else a big fan of NB and Choc. together?

Another great thing about these bars is that they’re kind of small. Which, makes it easy for me to throw in my purse, pocket, lunch box, laptop bag, etc. Even though, I’d love these to be bigger so I could enjoy it longer, I do realize there is a good amount of calories in each one. These are not 50 calorie bars or anything! This a very high nutrient dense bar so don’t get too carried away. But totally, enjoy them!
