GOALS 2014: Running, Reading, Loving, Painting…


I love making goals, but I hate it when I start making way too many. I need to narrow it down to just a few. So here they are!

1. Finish reading these two books


2. Love more. Judge Less.

Simple written, but hard to do. It can be done though! God said we could!

3. Blog at least 3 times a week.

I think blogging 5 times a week just messes me up. I start to lose motivation to write because I have nothing to write about. I get bored too fast. So maybe 3 times a week will be better!

4. Run at least 4-6 days a week.

When July came, I got frustrated with the heat and there was a death in the family so instead of being tough, I skipped out and stopped running like I was. Dumb move, dumb move. Thankfully, I pushed myself to pick it back up and I’m in love with running once again! Never fails.

5. Run trails

I love trails! I love pounding on the dirt, running through the woods, jumping over trees, skipping over rocks, and hopping streams. I love it! And I just need to do it!

6. Always choose clean food over junk food.

7. Read the Bible every day!

There’s those days I just forget and I really wish I didn’t. I need His Word to feed my Spirit!

8. Paint

I love painting on canvas! Anyone else? It’s such a good stress relief hobby that doesn’t require mileage. Haha

A look into the past…

Well, I can’t believe it! 2013 is just about over.

Since Brittany did a 2013 recap of positive events in her life, I thought I would do the same!

Here we go:


Took this photo as soon as I thought of my blog name and purchased my domain. The beginnings of In Shape Cupcake!


I trained my butt off for this half marathon and went under my goal time. I was shooting for 1:55 but ran it in 1:51. I was so happy!


I started lifting weights in 2013. It was the best decision ever.


I learned the importance of drinking green smoothies for breakfast.


Got to review some cool products: Cocozia, Quest Nutrition, Crunch Master, Sweaty bands, and Swanson…


Went on awesome hikes!

Cardio Functional Workout

Made some awesome workout printables.

Photo: 3 mile run. The @purelytwins new 24 min workout. A little core work. Lower body toning and a little bicep/shoulder action. Haven't been able to do anything since I got back from Texas on Monday so a full body workout this Christmas AM was just perfect. Have a Merry Christmas!

I also burned some major calories this year. Kicked butt, baby!
