Post Lovin’ Tuesday

Good morning!

Before I try to run (my back hurts so I don’t know how far I’ll get), I wanted to share a few of my favorite posts in January!


Protein pancakes!

This is how I make mine:

  • 1 small mashed banana or 1/2 large banana
  • 1 egg & 1 egg white
  • 1 tbsp ground flax seed or psyllium husk
  • cinnamon
  • a couple of drops of stevia
  • splash of vanilla extract
  • 1 scoop of non flavored protein powder
  • splash of almond milk



Just mix everything together in a medium sized bowl.

I usually thin my batter out a little so I can make 2 medium pancakes, or you can make one big pancake, or a few little ones. Whatever floats your boat!

I added my homemade applesauce and a little syrup on top of mine.

Now onto some posts that I’m loving!

I am so one of those people that will pack WAY too much. I can’t help it.

Well, Julie came to the rescue with this witty post on how to pack with just a carry on and a personal item! Can you believe it? I’m so doing this when I go to my conference.


I’m ready to dig deep in training this year so I’m about to enter into this race series of 4 different races. This is going to be rockin’. If you’re in Alabama and you are entering all of these BTC races, let me know! Maybe we can train together!


I’ve been reading Tina’s blog for a few years now, and even though I don’t personally know her, I’m still super hyped that her and her husband, Mal, are having a baby BOY! And I love that fact that she is still eating healthy and doing crossfit. She is seriously going to be the coolest mom ever!


I love Karena & Katrina from TONE IT UP (I mean I probably wouldn’t be blogging about health and fitness if it wasn’t for them). I am in love with the Love Your Body Series and this is the second year they have done it. Check out their new workout follow alongs on their YouTube channel or blog every Tuesday!

Rainy run



I love clean eating…makes me feel better through out the day and I know I am doing my body so good!

So…when I first started clean eating, I tried to jumble up a ton of recipes I could make. A lot of those come from The Gracious Pantry

Marathon Training + Pictures

Speaking of Nike Lunar Glide 5’s….

Marathon training starts today!

I will try to blog everything I do in case any one wants to follow along. I’m not following a plan. I roughly know what to do and I also have my dad, who knows a good bit about what a first time marathoner should train like. I think it will be interesting!

What I’m hoping:

  • To run 5-6 times a week
  • Have 1 big long run at the end of the week
  • Incorporate 2-3 strength training workouts a week
  • My HIIT will be on the track.
  • Rainy days will be for indoor HIIT and strength training
  • Incorporate bleachers and stairs for strong legs
  • Incorporate functional exercises for strength
  • Start 5 minute plank workouts again from Lori and Michelle (and get my parents to join in on the fun!)
  • Eat a super clean diet. I have been going 95% this week and it’s really not that hard. I think that with a little more doing, it will be an easy habit to keep up.
  • Don’t eat too much after long runs. (This is just a big mistake!)
  • Run a 5k, 10k, and 1/2 marathon before the marathon! Not hard since they are all spaced out!
