What I Ate Wednesday: FALL into Good Habits

BREAKFAST

For breakfast this week, I’ve been on a green protein smoothie kick! It’s literally so good and energizing for the morning.

  • Almond milk, water
  • 5 frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 of a banana
  • 1/4 avocado
  • 2 handfuls spinach
  • Cinnamon
  • 1 serving of Orgain Organic Plant Based Protein powder

After some work on the computer, I got ready to workout.

  • Easy 2 miles with 6 sprints at the end
  • HIIT workout from Tone It Up
  • 5 minute plank challenge  (JOIN ME FOR 14 DAYS OF CORE WORK!)
  • 4 move workout focusing on legs/booty

LUNCH

I wrapped Boar’s Head sliced turkey, sliced cheese, and arugula together with a side of fresh veggies

Then it was time to head out for a meeting

Wild rice, peas, and sautéed turkey and peppers…simple and delicious!

What’s Been Going On and a GIVEAWAY!

Hey lovelies!

Fall is here and this girl is SUPER happy!

I’m slowly trying to get back in the blogging game. I just don’t want to get burned out again and feel like I’m out of ideas. Taking so many pictures of my life is hard to do when I’m trying to be more communicative to the people around me. There’s just a point where you have to slow down or stop for a bit and embrace each moment with your full attention.

But hey, I’m coming back and I’ve got a ton of ideas.

First, I want to TRY to blog Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of each week. I can’t promise you anything, but I will definitely try to make it happen.

Second, I thought you’d be interested in what’s been going on the past 2 months so I’m here to share!

In August, I got a new job (yay!), I am also officially certified as a Health & Nutrition Coach, I suffered a really crappy foot injury that ruined my half marathon plans, and I created The Alabaster Running Club where beginners and non-beginners come out to run twice a week in Alabaster. It’s so much fun being the president of a running club. Whhaawhhatt?

In September, I started planning my health and wellness workshop that will be in Alabaster in the next 2 months, I’m enjoying my job, I made awesome workouts, and tried new things!

This month is going to be busy, awesome, and pretty SWEET! I’m getting some final and official details done with my upcoming workshop, designing my own flyers, and I’m learning a lot along the way. I can’t wait to share with you everything this workshop will entail. I’m excited to be teaming up with some awesome, awesome, brands that I want everyone to know about. So stay tuned!

Thinking Out Loud #1 Oh, Life!

Why have I not done this linkup yet?

1. Cascadian farm cereal, frozen blueberries, and almond milk has went up on my top 10 breakfasts. I’m for real here, so good!

2. I went trail running hiking yesterday. It was not what I expected. As you know, trail running has sort of won me over, and yesterday I thought I would try out a new place called, Moss Rock Preserve. Let’s just say, there was a lot of rock and not really any trails meant for running. So lame.

3. However, I went trail running on Monday at Oak Mountain (which was very nice) and got my picture taken with an owl…

Please excuse my huge, crazy, weird smile. I’m sort of cringing. WHY THE HECK am I putting this up!

4. Someone sent me this a long time ago and I just now looked at it…Star Wars fans much?

5. I ordered business cards yesterday to start putting around Birmingham because yo, I’m a health coach and no one will know if I don’t get out there. Currently looking for health events to go to this Fall. I’ll share what my cards look like as soon as they get here next week! In the meantime, you could like…check out my Health Coaching Website. 6. I’ve come to conclusion that there are not that many job opportunities in Birmingham right now. So, I’m looking at all kinds of other cities that are out of state. Call me crazy, but I’m just a girl with lots of dreams, passions, and goals and I ain’t giving up. Excuse my southern “ain’t”. But sometimes it needs to be used.

7. I haven’t done a workout in like a week. I’ve only been running and I feel like a leg workout is definitely needed today. So, I’m gonna go get on that right after I post this. #GIRLPOWER

8. Yesterday and today is supposed to be really low in humidity and very cool which is making me feel like its Fall already. I’m not ready for Fall yet!!!

9. I am loving long distances again. It seriously only takes a couple of weeks of long runs, and I’m already excited about doing 10 miles. Whaaaaat? Yep.

10. Paypal is super confusing (I’ve never used it before). Feel free to tell me how it works in the comments. The FAQ on Paypal is not helping me out. I need an actual explanation with examples.
