Half Marathon Training Plan Week #1

Hi friends! Hope your weekend has been marvelous! Some of you voted last week and wanted some more running posts on the blog, which makes sense…

On Friday, I decided 100% that I’m doing a November half marathon. I haven’t really decided which one I’m going to do, but I know I’m doing one in November and then I’ll be doing another one in February!

So, what my plan is, is that that for all of July, I’m going to slowly get my mileage up and keep it consistent. I want to get in 4 long runs this month and when August hits, that’s when I’ll be adding in some crazy speed work.

I really wanted to share my week by week training with you every Sunday or Monday and I hope this might be resourceful for some of my readers! I’m off to run right now, but here’s this week’s training! I’m hoping to stick to it as much as possible. We shall see!

My Top 7 Favorite Workouts on YouTube

Happy Hump Day! Whoop, halfway to the weekend! So for today, Work Out Wednesday, I have decided to share 7 of my favorite go-to workouts from Youtube from my favorite Youtube fitness gurus!

There are so many workouts out there on YouTube, blogs, and Pinterest, that I’ve come to the decision to start sharing some workouts on here that you can pick from and not have to spend valuable time trying to find the perfect workout. You can also check out some of my workouts under my WORKOUTS page!

I’ll be sharing 7 workouts every Wednesday this Spring so look out for them!

If you’ve been a long time reader of In Shape Cupcake or you follow my instagram account, then you probably know how much I love the Tone It Up girls! I have a lot of favorite workouts from them and so for today, here’s my favorite one for right now! It’s pretty awesome and works your full body:

Another Tone It Up workout: My go-to booty routine when I’m in a hurry—> Beautiful Booty Routine (Livestrong Woman & TIU)

And one more TIU Workout—> KETTLEBELL ROUTINE

If you love kettlebell workouts as much as myself, then this workout is for you! I LOVE IT and definitely gets my heart rate up, which is usually what I’m looking for in a workout.

I really enjoy ZuzkaLight workouts (ZWOW)…and if you’ve never heard of her before, well you seriously need to check her out. Her workouts are different from everyone else…plus she has TON of follow along workouts that keeps you motivated! Here’s a couple of my favorites:

If you don’t follow PopSugar Fitness on YouTube, you are so missing out! They have these great 10 minute workouts and I definitely need these on days I’ve got only 10-30 minutes to spare! Here’s one of my favorite AB workouts from them!

Last but not least, The Purely Twins! Gosh, I love them! Why? Because they are so motivating and inspiring. I really love their blog and when they started making YouTube videos, I got even more excited. They’ve got a great fitness page. Here’s one of my favorite workouts as of right now:
