Breakfast

I started my morning off with cheerios and strawberries in almond milk with chia seeds sprinkled on top…wish I had a picture. I THOUGHT I took one, but apparently not.

After eating and drinking some darn good coffee, my mom and I headed to a new location to get in 9 miles!

Lunch

We hydrated with Coconut Water (Cocozia for me), water and Zaxby’s unsweetened ice tea with lemon before heading home.

I was so happy to come home and take a shower! Just like Julie said yesterday, there’s nothing sweeter taking a shower after being gross and sweaty. AH the feeling of cleanliness!

I don’t know about you, but after I exercise for 2 hours, I am starving!!!!

A wrap with PB2 and a banana! Yummay! And my sister, Lydia, left a handful of puffins in the box…argh!

Coffee Time

Yepp, we have coffee everyday around 4pm…It’s like we’re British but with coffee.Step away from the cup! Social reformers in 19th Century Ireland feared drinking tea was as and destructive to morals as drinking whiskey

And a little biscotti…my mom picked these up and they taste like Fall! <—Lol taste like Fall…in my world, that can happen.

Dinner

7:00 PM rolled around: I heard my stomach grumble and felt it gnawing so I definitely knew it was dinner time.

What did I eat…

A spoonful of spaghetti, couple of spoonful’s of brown rice, chicken from Sunday, veggies, laughing cow cheese…trying to get rid of leftovers here.

That’s about it!

600 Calorie Burner Workout

Good morning all!

Let’s get down to business. Like “What is this 600 calorie burner workout you are talking about?” *First off, I burned about 600 calories, not everyone will be the same. It’s all according to how hard you push, your weight, and etc.

I love track workouts! They really mix it up and make things interesting. I haven’t ran in a few days, so I wanted to do something quick, effective, and somewhat easy<— (Found out this workout isn’t easy!)

I saw this crossfit workout the other day and decided to try it! 200meter repeats aren’t hard but they are tiring. And that’s exactly what I was looking for.

This is what I did:

  • 1 mile warmup on the track
  • Run 200m, do the 4 exercise moves
  • Repeat that for 4 more times (total 5 times) with little rest
  • 1/2 mile cooldown
  • Run stairs from one side to the opposite side (3 SETS) (You can run it however you want and you could do more if you were doing this workout)
  • Walk up the big bleachers 4X to finish it off
  • Did some functional work like 40m skips, hops, side skips, jumps, backward running, etc.

 

Now I only did 1/2 of the workout (pic above) because I haven’t ran in a few days. But it still kicked my butt. I got my heart rate up to 183. Perfect.

Next time I do this workout (hopefully next week) I will add a couple more rounds and hopefully by the time I do this workout for the 3rd time, I’ll be able to push through 10 ROUNDS!

Came home to refuel with a Vanilla Shakeology smoothie with almond milk and ice.

I am feeling the effects of the workout this morning. Hamstrings and glutes are slowly getting sore. EEK! But that’s good.

Right?

I challenge you to do this workout! It can easily be done with a treadmill and stairmill or at home. I just prefer the track and bleachers.

Breakfast:

Wanted oatmeal, so I had oatmeal.

I love mixing in coconut flour and almond milk in my oatmeal as well. It’s so good. Added blueberries, cinnamon, and nutbutter on top.

Perfect!

Legs and Cardio Workout

Today marks the first day of a new job for me and I’m very excited.

Anyone else out there have a new job?

Anyway, today’s post is all about this workout that I did Wednesday.

I’m trying to come up with some workouts that involve cardio and weightlifting in one so that when I am working, I can do both in less time. Smart, right? Yeah…

So, after hitting 100 miles for April on Tuesday, I really wanted a couple days off of running. So LEG DAY it was!

I quickly came up with this workout:

Legs   Cardio

When you’re ready to work the booty, tone the legs, work your abs, and get cardio all in one workout, then here ya go!

And, a lot of work just went into making that picture ^

I’m actually still sore. Yep. No joke. I haven’t been able to run either. So, I’ve been working the upper body a lot…and foam rolling like a crazy person.

Okay, I gotta go get ready now!
