May Wishlist

Happy Monday! You ready for another week? Well, doesn’t matter if you are anyway, it’s happening! So let’s give each other high fives and get our butts into action!

Starting of the week with a MAY WISHLIST! I’d love it if you joined in too!

Products and items I want need:

I would either go with the same ones I have now, the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 14, which has been a fantastic long distance shoe for me…I’ve worn mine out, so I would love a new pair.

If you are a runner in need of a support/stability shoe because of over pronation, this might be your shoe! But if you have any stability running shoe suggestions, comment and let me know! Always searching…

HEAD BANDS

I’m a Head Band Gal…I got to have something on my head while I run and workout. But hats just get too hot! I love my Sweat Band that I received last year (here’s my review)

MIMM: What Does Monday Mean to You?

Here’s Monday again! Are you sad or happy? Sad smile Smile

I’m happy! It means a fresh week, more workouts, more goals, more running…

What does Monday mean to you? (Share below)

Lets recap my weekend in pictures…

I started my Saturday off with a healthy breakfast balanced with protein, carbs, and fats.

Then I sat out to run 9 miles…which due to the blazing hot weather, that didn’t happen…7.75 miles was all I got in.

It really didn’t take me that long to run though…haha! Every 2.25 miles, I stopped to get water and would just walk around til I was hydrated enough to get back to moving. And I forgot to stop my watch until I got home.

After I got home, I showered and took a nap. I was soooo tired. Its funny how sun will do that to ya!

Chipotle for an early dinner?

Cool with me…

We also went to Costco later…Can I just say, I LOVE COSTCO! Like, if I could just go there all the time and shop for people, I would.

I snacked on this when I got home…shouldn’t have, but I did…because its so good.

Sunday was the same balanced egg breakfast, then we drove and hour to our great new church! We started going this August, and its probably one of the best decisions we’ve made.

Dinner! Stuffed bell peppers are the best!

A few pictures I love…

Don’t those look so pretty! ^

Recipe Monday: Clean Eating Oats (super simple)

Good morning, friends!

How’s your Monday so far?

I’m off work today, so I’m mostly chilling and recovering from my full body workout from yesterday which I will recap in a moment. First let’s touch base on my delicious breakfast this morning!

Breakfast

protein eggy oats

These are quite similar to my recipe for Protein Eggy Oats but I liked this recipe much more!

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup oats
  • 1/3 cup egg whites
  • 1/2 unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 Tbsp. chia seeds
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed

—-

Instructions:

1) Mix all ingredients together in a pot on the stove; turn to medium high heat.

2) Cook, stirring frequently, until mixture reaches normal oatmeal consistency and the eggs are no longer runny. This will take about 5 minutes.

Sunday’s Workout

Yesterday, before church, I wanted to get in a workout. I wanted to do fullbody because I haven’t done fullbody in a while. So, Saturday night I wrote down a workout plan to follow…sadly, though, I ran out of time to finish the biceps/shoulder part.

I did #1 and #3 in the morning. When I got back from work (bummer I had to work, seriously) I finished up #2, #4, and the bicep curls and shoulder press circuit.

And I am soooreee this morning. So I am waiting til tonight to workout which will probably have to be a run because I am too sore to do anything else.

So no workout this morning.

And I have no motivation this morning because it’s so dreary outside, there’s thunder, rain, etc. So, I would much rather cuddle up and watch a movie.

I actually have a phone call meeting planned today that is with my Beach Body Coach. Hopefully we will get talking on some cool stuff. Ready to start helping others!

Watch out for Beach Body stuff in the future. I think it’s going to be really awesome!

Questions:

  • What is your favorite oatmeal combo?
  • Have you thought about joining BEACH BODY yet?
  • Tips for keeping your meals in order and not snacking? (I’ve been slacking a little and not caring, so if you have some tips, please share!)
